
Chien-Hsin Wu earned his PhD from the Institute of Polymer Science and Engineering at National Taiwan University in 2016. He has served as the director of the Poly/Sus Lab at NTU since 2019. Additionally, he has held the position of Assistant Research Fellow at the Advanced Research Center for Green Materials Science and Technology at National Taiwan U niversity since 2022. He was nominated for the 2018 Feng Xinde Polymer Prize for his paper published in the journal Polymer. Furthermore, he was an invited speaker at 2021 An Invited lecturer of International Leading Young Scientist of The Society of Polymer Science Japan, and 2024 Invited lecturer at The Japan-Taiwan Joint Session of The Society of Polymer Science Japan.
His research interests encompass the development of polymer intermediates and mechanisms, the preparation of isocyanates and polyurethanes, and the relationship between polymer structure and properties. He specializes in creating sustainable polymer materials derived from renewable, recycled, and waste carbon resources, as well as their combinations. He has successfully led research projects that have resulted in over 30 publications in SCI journals and more than 50 patents across more than 50 research initiatives.
